Sense Of Self And Style: Childhood Myth
Process: I began my project by choosing a childhood myth that has to correlate with my concentration. This is something that took me a great amount of time as I had a tough time connecting the two requirements, thus I chose an idea that is more personal to me. The childhood myth that I chose was the five second rule. I then decided to portray a Tuscan Italian styled kitchen, as this reminds me of the first family time my family and I took a trip to Italy, and I remember my mom telling me about the five second rule in a kitchen with similar styles as to the one that I chose my reference image to be. I then researched the stylistic ideas of a Tuscan kitchen, as this would be a main aspect that I would incorporate in my piece. I then cut out a piece of water color paper and sketched out the reference image with a pencil. After this, I used watercolor to paint my piece, and when the water color as dry, I went over the intricate areas with white and black pen to make the shadows stand out more and look neater and cleaner.

Elements And Principals Of Design:
