Process-I created my project by choosing the artist in whom their technique inspired me to create my own piece using their techniques, I came up with the idea of combining the two artists whose names are Alan Jacquet and Richard Diebenkorn. Using Alan Jaquet's painting technique of color blocking and simplifying his pieces which is seen in his piece, "The Birth Of Venus," while using Richard Diebenkorns technique of painting images looking out of a window, as seen in his piece, "A Woman Looking Out Of A Window." Once I found my artists, I chose my pictures that I wanted to use as my reference images, and photoshopped and printed them so that I have my reference image to look the way that I had wanted it too. After this I sketched out my reference image onto try final piece of paper, and simplified my reference image to encorporate the color blocking technique into my piece which would create a very clean look to the viewer. I then began using acrylic paint and painted my piece, incorporating the ideas of perspective and shadows into the look of my artwork. Finally, in order to obtain the clean lines  when painting acrylic, I used blue tape and painted the area that I was working with, and then when the paint was dry, peeled the tape off which created an organized idea within this.

• Sensory- Anna Catherine Hunt suggested that I made my lines more defined.

• Formal/Technical-Maggie suggested that I should make the colors of the shadows within the houses more prominent.

• Expressive-Ms. Johnson suggested that I should make sure that the perspective of the houses were int he correct form.
