Lino Cut Process Piece
Process: I began my project by choosing the location of the houses and culture in that area, that I would create my project to portray upon. I chose the renovated fishing homes in the town of Costa Nova Portugal, known as Paliheiros. When doing that, I researched more of the culture and meaning behind these colorful fishing homes, and planned my project on my planning idea pages. I then chose my reference images and planned my project layout. I decided to create a Lino cut print of the houses and portray the inspiration that the malcieros b oats have on the renovated fishing house colors. After this, I cute my two pieces of Linoleum, and sketched the houses with pencil onto the two pieces of linoleum. I then began carving out the areas of the houses on my linoleum that was going tone printed white.
