Process-I created my project by choosing the concentration that I was going to use, this being making my pieces have a corresponding idea of house throughout the world and the social classes and community in the area affecting the stylistic architecture of the houses, representing the lifestyle of the people in the area. I then chose my reference image, and the first place in the world that I was going to make my piece about. I chose an area in Ghana, that is known for the colorful houses in that community. The idea of the colors and the look of the architecture within the houses, as the colorful houses brought light to a more impoverished community really interested me. I began to sketch the basic placement of the house in the reference image on my piece of paper. I then cut out two pieces of the clear paper to the same size of y piece of paper. On the paper layer, I painted this first layer with acrylic paint, color blocking the areas from the reference image that I chose. I then used the first clear piece of paper layer, and color blocked the mising areas that I left out from the paper layer underneath it. I used acrylic paint to create these vibrant colors, as well as using tape to make sure that my paper stays neat and clean. I then took the second peice of clear paper, and used acrylic paint and tape to create the last small intricate details. I then mounted my piece with the layers on top of each other to create the idea of the house wihtin this location, portraying this idea of color.

Peer Critiques-

• Sensory- Anna Catherine Hunt suggested that I make sure that the clear parts of the paper are neat and clean to create the realistic idea.

• Formal/Technical-Maggie suggested that I go over some of the color blocking areas that I painted with acrylic paint on the clear paper so that the color looks opaque and immaculate. 

• Expressive-Ms. Johnson suggested that I add some of the shadows and intricacies into the clear layers of paper to create the perspective from this.

Elements And Principals Of Design-

•  Element- I used color in my piece when I color blocked the ideas that I had in my reference image to create a vibrant result.

• Element- I used line in my piece when I created the implied lines within the layers.
